Those seeking retro pay following the ratification of the new MNU Central Table Collective Agreement on Oct. 14, 2021, can use this template.

Update

THE EMPLOYER HAS INDICATED TO US THE FOLLOWING TIMELINES…

SIGNING BONUS: Payable no later than December 24, 2021

The signing bonus will be paid by all employers within each employers organization no later than December 24. As it relates to the minimum $500 total, where a nurse has not received a minimum payment of $500 as a total for all employers from which the nurse has received such payment, the nurse shall have ninety (90) days to provide documentation of all information relevant to entitlements under signing bonus to their Employer(s) and the MNU in order to be appropriately compensated.

ADJUSTED WAGE RATES AND PAYMENT OF RETROACTIVE WAGES:

Payable no later than January 12, 2022
Implementation of the new rates and the processing of the retroactive payments are to be implemented and paid no later than January 12, 2022. Payroll processing schedules for

Shared Health/WRHA SAP employees ............................................. December 10
Cancer Care .......................................................................................December 16
PMH, NRHA ....................................................................................... December 24
Southern Health ..................................................................................December 24

Long Term Care Facilities not on SAP .................................................January 12
Community Funded Agencies ..............................................................January 12

Other payroll adjustments as per the revised collective agreement that are effective the date of ratification (October 14, 2021) such as double overtime, shift premiums, etc., will be implemented for payment in various timeframes across employers. Shared Health, WRHA, LTC facilities (not on SAP) and community funded agencies will not be in a position to implement these adjustments prior to January 12. As a result, there will be an additional retroactive payment required at a future date.
