Local Leaders Virtual Education Sessions

We are happy to announce the first topics in our virtual education program dedicated to local leaders.  This program is intended to support our existing and potential union leaders in locals and worksites across the province. All sessions will be held via the Zoom platform.  Members must pre-register to obtain the link.

Note: these workshops are free for MNU members. There is no funding available for attending.

How to Zoom Effectively

Monday, January 25 1700 to 1800

Do you want to hold a local meeting on Zoom, but don't know how to get started? MNU is offering an educational session entitled How to Zoom Effectively for presidents and other local leaders. During this one (1) hour session, participants will learn the basics of the Zoom platform, including:

  • Setting up an account
  • Scheduling meetings
  • Hosting a meeting
  • Using Zoom tools such as screen sharing and polling

Local/Worksite Financial Policies

Understanding MNU financial policies and applying them to your executive role in the local/worksite can seem daunting. In this session, we will explain some basic financial policies and answer your questions about prudent management of local/worksite funds. This session is intended for Presidents, Treasurers and other local/worksite/regional executive members.
