Brian Sinclair inquest report released today

Today, Justice Timothy Preston released his findings from the inquest into the death of Brian Sinclair at Health Sciences Centre in 2008.


The inquest was held from August 2013 - June 2014, hearing from 82 witnesses, including Manitoba Nurses Union’s members.


As a party with standing, MNU submitted the ER report with several recommendations to improve healthcare delivery in Winnipeg Emergency Departments.

The MNU Board of Directors met in Winnipeg this week for the final meeting of the 2014 calendar year.

MNU joins Global Nurses United

Today, the Manitoba Nurses Union and the Canadian Federation of Nurses Unions (CFNU) made history as one of 14 countries and 18 national nurses unions to attend the founding meeting of Global Nurses United (GNU).
