Bill 35 - PTSD Presumptive Legislation Update

On Thursday June 18, 2015 MNU president Sandi Mowat will present our recommended amendments to Bill 35 – The Workers Compensation Amendment Act: Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Presumption, to the Standing Committee on Legislative Affairs.

As a key stakeholder in the development of Bill 35, MNU is in support of the proposed legislation however, we are recommending several amendments.

MNU has prepared recommendations to strengthen sections discussing cumulative trauma, and amendments to include a retroactivity clause.

The presentation will take place tomorrow evening, Thursday June 18, 2015 at approximately 6:00pm in Room 255 of the Manitoba Legislative Building (450 Broadway).

If you are able to attend the presentation to the Standing Committee on Legislative Affairs, please come and show your support for MNU’s recommended amendments to Bill 35.
