PTSD Legislation Update

The Government of Manitoba's new PTSD legislation (Bill 35) is expected to proceed to its second reading at the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba. As a valuable stakeholder, MNU will be presenting to the Standing Legislative Committee on specific amendments that will strengthen this legislation.

MNU will address the challenges that may be involved in workers identifying a triggering event, along with ensuring that the legislation recognizes the cumulative impact trauma has on nurses and other first responders.
